Day 14 : Your Earliest Memory

Okay, now I shall continue on with this 30 days challenge which I didn't even manage to go through even till the half way line. A lot of things happened so fast recently that I can't quite put them in words for you guys. I really wish I could cause I learned a lot of things in this packed couple of months.

Anyways, getting back to the topic. My earliest memories..... Hmmm.... This is really tough as my childhood memories are really jumbled up as I moved quite a lot here and there but don't quite know which comes first and so on.

However, 1 memory that would always be in my head is when I was about 4-5 years old or maybe even 3 plus I don't remember. Well I used to have this pedal car (remember it was a blue BMW) which I used to ride everyday from 5.00-6.30pm without fail. And I used to do all sorts of stun car driving that some people actually thought that I had some good driving skills since back then!

Though I don't quite remember what happened to it and until when I was riding it, I still remember the feel of driving it. I remember the pain I get from stepping on those metal pedals just for the sake of my own thrill of driving fast.

I remember it kinda looked like this picture above though it was blue and it was BMW! LOL. Other than this memory I remember I used to have a mini BMX bike too! That was when I was around 5-6 years old.

Another toy brings another memory. Used to cycle around as fast as I could go overtaking my sisters and cousins who used to play together. When they were not around I would cycle around my housing grounds as my house during those times were often corner lot houses hence we had quite some space. During those times I would practice those X-games styled moves some with precised success rate while some other not even close.

But once I kinda tried to jump over a small drain in my house ground which normally I would have passed with my hands of the bar, I crashed straight into that drain while the bicycle handle just stabbed into my stomach and I hung there too scared to ask for help from my mom and also due to shock. After getting off the bike, parked it and sat in the house very quietly.

My ever observant mom knew something was not up as I never come back in as early as 5.30pm when I just went out at 5pm to play. So she asked me and somehow found out that I was hurt. I will never forget the beating I got for being an idiot. :'(

Well I suppose this are a few memories I have of my younger days. I shall return with the 15th day post soon!!

A Year That Was

So 2011 has swiftly ended and 2012 is merely 2 days old. I suppose this is the best time to talk about what the previous year was about without effecting my this year. Countdown for 2012 wasn't much different from 2011 as I was single and I was home alone! Well am sure a lot of you guys out there might think I must be sad but it was a nice experience to be home.

Coming back to 2011, it certainly wasn't a year to brag about at all. But I would certainly say that 2011 was a year that I would certainly remember as a year to have taught me the most. Amazing year it was in terms of lessons and experiences that I got from 2011.

I really can't cover everything with words but I will share as much as I could over here. I have always had a certain problem dealing with people. I normally get branded as "cocky", "idiot", "snob", and I don't know what else. I always complained that sometimes people misunderstand me due to communication break downs but then I realized that mostly I expected from people more than they were willing to show hence all the trouble.

Since I realized that, I've tried to just be myself and only myself by not expecting anything much from whoever I come across. Observing people and things has always been a habit to me so 2011 taught me just to be better at it. So if you met me and I am quiet then it obviously means I am observing so that I can adapt to you. I totally understand that everybody is different hence communication is also a little different so I rather adapt to people than expect people to adapt to me.

Sometimes I talk a hell lot of things to new people but that's because I am trying to analyze what is their stuff. Well 1 person has to take up the effort, no? So why not it be me instead of waiting right? *wink*

Last year also marked a time when I lost 2 good friends in quick successions 1 after another. A nice couple they were and their departure was a huge shock for that it took me some time to get over it. They were a good example for me and meeting them had got me change a lot of perspective of life.

Betrayal, back-stabbed, robbed, and hurt were among those that really got me down but I think the worst that I felt was when I threw away love. Now I pay the price of being a fool but what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger. That is my tale, so I've grown from last year for sure.

I know what I need to do and what I must further improve to live the life that I am hoping for. It's not wrong to hope for something because even our brains have a small column for hope hence it's just a natural human habit. Always look the brighter side I was told but I do know that we also have to acknowledge the dark side too in order to be prepared.

I was never a fan of maths but I did okay in maths. Maths gave me a mindset that there is always a solution for a problem while my working experiences has taught me to also have options to choose. This is how I lead my life right now with added patience which I always lacked. I guess me being almost close to becoming 24 have finally grown up!

I know I keep saying this but doesn't seem like happening but I will try to catch up with more updates! Thank you for all the support that you guys have been giving. Happy new year people!!

Glory Glory!!

Yes the Great Devils have been dumped out of the Champions League. It is hurtful to admit that we've got no one to blame but us as we've been quite depleted off the amazing start to the season that saw our free scoring team steam roll the opposing teams.

Now it is an unfamiliar zone to be in the Europa League for the 1st time since I've ever known the existent of the Devils (who by the way were the only team that existed while I was a kid other than Brazil and Bayern Munich). I've always been a United fan though there were tough times but I always knew they'd bounce back and they've never failed me.

It's been a tough season so far after humilating defeat at home by the Blue Half as well the 3-3 draw at home againts Basel. Add together the injury problems that seems to be extending as the season ticking away is worrying.

It would be wise if the Gaffer was to purchase some emergency players as cover up or Wesley Sneider atleast to bolster the Midfield which has a huge hole gaping since the retirement of Paul Scholes. Giggs might not have much football in his boots to carry on for another season so before the headache of replacing Giggs and Scholes, I would say it would be wise to atleast get 1 replacement for Scholes in Sneider.

Atleast lesser headache and no need to press any panic button to purchase potential flops. However, football now has changed alot thanks to those 2 morons Abramovic and Sheikh Mansour who have got all the stability of the game upside down. Because of their money, even a player who isn't worth a million pounds would cost atleast 5-6 million pounds!

This is bad bad situation but United have always upstaged the odds and am sure they would be able to do the same. Sir Alex wouldn't have been so succesful nor would have been there for 25 Years if he hadn't had that strength in him.

News, pundits, critics or whoever can question whether he has what it takes to run the club in this era however, nobody have ever upstaged the gaffer more than his ownself. So tonight againts the Wolves, I hope we would start our engines and wouldn't have to shift down our gears to edge closer to the pace setters.

Glory Glory Man Utd!

Ps: This post was meant in no harm to other club fans. This is solely based on my view of the club I have supported all my life. Cheers!

Real Steel

I watched this movie quite some time back and since due to my forgetfulness and also lack of chances to blog, I haven't been able to put this post up. Plus I was dying to watch this movie but didn't have a partner to watch it with. And it came randomly when a friend called me for movie in the last minute and I got what I wanted! As usual the storyline is below so those who didn't watch this movie, read it and go watch it! Those who watched it, enjoy this post guys!!

_____________________________________________________________________________
PLOT
In 2020, humans have been replaced by robots in boxing. Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) is a former boxer who owns such a robot, Ambush, competing in unsanctioned matches and in exhibitions with it. At a rural fair, Ambush is destroyed by Black Thunder, a bull belonging to promoter Ricky (Kevin Durand). Having made a bet that Ambush would win, Charlie now owes Ricky $20,000, which he doesn't pay before leaving.

Charlie is informed his ex-girlfriend has died, and that he must attend a hearing to decide the fate of his preteen son Max (Dakota Goyo). Max's wealthy aunt Debra (Hope Davis) and uncle Marvin (James Rebhorn) want full custody, which Charlie gives them in exchange for $100,000, half in advance, on the condition that Charlie take care of Max for three months while the couple are away on a second honeymoon.

Charlie and Max meet with Charlie's childhood friend Bailey Tallet (Evangeline Lilly), who runs the boxing gym of her deceased father, Charlie's old coach. There, Charlie buys a secondhand World Robot Boxing league (WRB) robot, the once-famous Noisy Boy, and arranges for it to fight the illegal circuit's champion, Midas, at a venue belonging to his friend Finn (Anthony Mackie). Partly due to both his inexperience with Noisy Boy's combinations and his overconfidence, Charlie ends up losing control of Noisy Boy and Midas destroys it.

Charlie breaks into a junkyard with Max to steal scraps that he can use to put a new robot together. There, Max falls over a ledge, where he is saved from doom by getting snagged on the arm of a buried robot. After Charlie pulls Max back up, Max digs out the entire robot, called Atom. On Max's insistence, Charlie takes it back to Bailey's gym, where they discover Atom is an obsolete Generation-2 sparring bot built in 2014. Atom has been designed to sustain massive damage, but is unable to deal much damage itself. Partly due to both Max's insistence and Charlie needing money, the duo takes Atom to fight an unsanctioned outdoor match against a robot called Metro, and Atom wins, earning back some of Charlie's money.
Max later upgrades it to take vocal commands using spare parts from Noisy Boy and Ambush and successfully convinces Charlie to train the robot. Atom's string of subsequent wins and high-speed maneuvers, which were rarely seen from a robot, attracts the attention of a promoter from WRB, who offers Atom a professional fight against a robot called Twin Cities. Charlie accepts, and Atom wins again, thanks to Charlie's boxing experience allowing him to locate and take advantage of a small tell in Twin Cities' punch. Revelling in their subsequent novelty attention, Max challenges WRB champion Zeus, designed by genius Tak Mashido (Karl Yune) and sponsored by wealthy Farra Lemcova (Olga Fonda), who before the match tried to buy the upstart Atom.

As Max and Charlie leave after the Twin Cities fight, Ricky and his men attack them, and steal their winnings. Feeling guilty, Charlie returns Max to his aunt and uncle, feeling Max will be safer with them, but Bailey convinces him that he can be a better father. Debra allows Charlie to take Max out for one last night, to the Zeus-Atom match. Zeus severely damages Atom while also getting injured, a first for Zeus. Ricky, who had bet Finn $100,000 that Atom would not last the first round, tries to slip away, but is cornered by Finn and his colleagues. In the last round of the five-round match, Atom's vocal receptors are damaged, and Atom must fight in shadow-boxing mode, copying Charlie's moves from the aisle. Zeus, now controlled manually by a furious Mashido, expends energy on trashing the defensive Atom, running low on power and turning sluggish as a result. Atom then begins to pummel Zeus, even knocking the seemingly invincible champion down once, but not winning before the round ends. The judges declare Zeus the winner on points, but that robot's reputation is tarnished, and Atom has become famous as the "People's Champion".

These are some of the screenshots of the movie. Overall it was quite a predictable storyline however, the visuals were very good for this movie as the effects looked good. All the characters played their roles perfectly well. Though this movie might not be running for the Oscars or the Grammys, it was worth the money spent to watch this.

I wouldn't mind to watch it again provided a nice LCD TV and super good sound system! *wink* Basically a mini cinema at home. LOL!

Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed this post. Would be coming with another update later in the evening or so. Till then, signing off for now is the one and only TY. (Always wanted to say that. LOL)

Cursed or is it just meant to be? (Part II)

It's been really damn long since I have kinda abandoned this story to be honest. I am really really sorry for that. As you all would know that I have been deprieved of the chance to update my blog regularly and I truely appologize for that. Anyways I shall continue this story's 2nd phase from where I left it off previously. You can read the 1st phase @ http://ty-my-thoughts.blogspot.com/2011/05/cursed-or-is-it-just-meant-to-be.html

Previously,
Seeing her without make up for the 1st time made things harder for Jay. He felt he has met his match finally but should he be doing what he is doing? That was his thought. He wants but he can't. So trying not to waste much time, he decided to take her out instead. So..................

Part II

So he reached out for her hand and without much hesitation just dragged her along to his bike and hopped on board. Looking at her warm eyes, Jay handed her a cute turtle shell helmet and

"Trust me! Let me take you for a ride that could last for a life time!"

Beth on the other hand, with a little hesitation took the helmet and got on the bike. *VrrooOOoomMmm!!!*

Off they went rounding the city which is half asleep both thinking of different things. All that mattered for Jay was that he was with Beth for the mean time and nobody could ever take them apart. Halfway through Beth asked Jay to take her to a hilly place to chill.

Jay took Beth to a small hill nearby the outskirts of the city which was called the "Heavenly Realm". Learning about the name of the place, Beth wanted to know the story behind it.

"This place got it's name because of it's unexplainable happening during the full moon period whereby this place gets lid up by the full moon. There was a myth that angels and goddess come down here during this period of time to gather the festive the full moon's ambiance"

The moment he finished his explanation, Beth just lid up as bright as the full moon whom itself shines majestically in the naked sky of a starry night. How he wished he could just recite all those poems that seemed to be oozing out of his heart and head that could potray the beauty that was right in front of him but words were never enough.

So he just stood there mesmerized of the beauty before his eyes. Seeing him speechless, Beth turned around and asked what was wrong.

Jay, " No nothing is wrong dear. I am just lost of words to explain how I feel. It is just too perfect" with a faint smile.

As sparkly as the brightest star in the sky, Beth's warm brown eyes gazed upon Jay's. The moment was more than perfect and it seemed to be begging to be made complete by a kiss. Both were leaning towards each other when Jay realized what was about to happen and pulled away. He walked away to the edge of the hill looking at the moon.

Beth had statued in her place staring with a dismay look on her face. Jay kneeled down to his knees and gazed up to the moon as if he was longing for the moon's embrace which he knew would never happen. Straightening herself, Beth walked up to Jay and sat down beside him leaning herself on Jay.

"Thank you." said Beth after some silent moment.

"For?" , Snapped Jay with a teary eyes.

"I don't think I would ever be able to explain how I feel tonight. This place, the atmosphere, you, and I don't what else have made me feel so alive. I have never experienced such beautiful.. erm stuff? Thingy? Feelings? I don't know exactly what to say but it's something that I'll never be able to forget for the rest of my life! I wish I could just...."

Jay covered Beth's mouth with his palms, and whispered "shhh, I know." Smiling faintly he pulled Beth closer as they both lied down gazing upon the stars. Lying there thinking that the night could never get better, Jay closed his eyes...........

Now then, am sorry if I had cut short your excitement. I would admit that this was one of the toughest part that I had to come up with. Thanks to the help of my bestie Anita Marianne who cracked her head with me to finish the 2nd part. Hope to get your response of this so I could come up with the 3rd and the final chapter of this story.

Hope you guys enjoyed it. Stay tuned!!!

PS: I know the pictures don't really mean much but they are merely fillers. Sorry. ;)

Voice from up above...

Last Monday night, after coming back home from badminton I just felt so awake and empty. Not knowing what to do, I turned on the tv and "The Voice" and then came Javier Colon. I have already been enchanted by his superb singing skills and voice and he was performing this song "Angel" by Sarah Mclahlan.

Seriously the way he sang was so beautiful and that this song felt so soothing. It literally touched the very deep core of my heart and I teared. I maybe a man but am not shy at all that this song got me tearing. So I thought I'd share with you guys.

Though Javier Colon didn't win "The Voice", but for me he was the winner. Anyways, below is the studio edition.

Spend all your time waiting
for that second chance
for a break that would make it okay
there’s always some reason
to feel not good enough
and it’s hard at the end of
the day
I need some distraction
oh a beautiful release
memory seeps from my veins
let me be empty
oh and weightless and maybe
I’ll find some peace tonight
In the arms of the angel
fly away from here
from this dark cold
hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you’re in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here
So tired of the straight life
and everywhere you turn
there’s vultures and thieves at your back
the storm keeps on twisting
you keep on building the lies
that you make up for all that you lack
it don’t make no difference
escaping one last time
it’s easier to believe
in this sweet madness oh
this glorious sadness that brings me to my knees
In the arms of the angel
fly away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you’re in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here
you’re in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here

Javier Colon – Angel Lyrics

Life is so unpredictable.....

A month full of drama. It's been barely 3 weeks to be exact since I got the terrifying news of my best friend's accident and death, the ball kept on rolling without me realizing it. I felt that things are going to settle down slowly and all I had to do was to protect those around me and my late friend's gf until last Friday I get a text asking me to come to the PPUM or better known as the University Hospital immidiately as she was admitted.

Already in a paranoid with even the smallest tiniest things, it really scared me and I panicked! Not knowing what to do, I just told another friend about it and rushed of to the hospital. At first, everything seemed as if it was just a normal happening as everyone seemed kinda relaxed and still smiling. Until the 1st reports came in, I shall say that. The bleeding in the brain was too much and operation can only be done if the bleeding was to stop.

After waiting for awhile, I got the chance to take a look at her. I still remember the sight in my head. The cold shrill up to my spines, heartbeat speeding up, cold sweat and I was literally shaking from my knees. Standing there trying to look strong in front of her sister, I felt as if I was going to pass out anytime soon. It was really saddening.

However, after a brief battle of almost 4 days in the ICU, she passed away last monday. I was there when they took her off the life support unit. Speechless and numbed disgusted feeling from deep inside looking at those teary eyes staring at me with a questioning look. I would have done something if I could! I really would have but all I could do at that time was just to stare as the procedings took part.

Weirdly enough my best friend's funeral was the ever 1st funeral I've been to and though I didn't get to see his face for the last time, I still did feel the so aweful. While on Monday, 1st time I ever see someone's pulse and heartbeat go down after being plugged off the life support unit. Both situation being so new and being in such a situation where I was lost for words and action really killed me.

Even now that I am writing this post, I still am shaking and with cold sweat running down my back. My experience knowing these 2 beautiful souls has been nothing but inspiring. Learned a lot of things from them but ultimately they thought me the beauty of love.

It's not about how long you love a person but how much you love a person that counts the most in the end.

Something I learned knowing them. Their relationship may have been very brief as they barely knew each other for 3 months and been together for mere 2 months but their love and bond was so strong that they proved that even by death they will never part. This kinda made me think about the quote of "match made in heaven" and also that "eternal love never die". They didn't get to engage nor marry when they were alive but am sure they have met each other again in heaven to be together forever. Which also means that their love is eternal and would never die.

Both their lost has touched me deeply and I feel their lost, especially during late nights when either 1 would message me or so. Every now and then I do feel like wanting to contact either 1 of them just to realize that they are no more around and its a sickening feeling. I know that seeing me hurting or struggling isn't what they'd want from me.

So I am gathering up the pieces one by one and live a life that they'd be proud off. Lastly below is the only pictures I have of these 2 lovely souls. May both of you R.I.P. friends.

Miss you both very much.
